Ability to: acquire knowledge, actively or passively, with no physical explanation of how the user could have gained that knowledge.

Claircognizance is the extra-sensory ability where a person can acquire knowledge intrinsically. This can be done through learning random facts or actively searching for knowledge.

Limits

With this ability, Draph can gain any piece of knowledge without ever experiencing an event that could have given him that knowledge. Passive use of this ability can give Draph pertinent facts about a situation or person. Active use of this ability can give Draph knowledge about where a person is or what would happen if he took a certain course of action. However, as the difficulty of acquiring certain knowledge increases, so does the wear on the user. For instance, finding out where a person is would be easier and less taxing than learning what will happen in 25 years. Interestingly, when actively using this ability, one enters a similar state of mind as precognition, turning one's eyes white.

Examples

  • While Josh Davis claims it was an act of telepathy, Draph informs his companions that two girls at the end of the bar were checking them out. This could have also have been an act of claircognizance. Unfortunately, Draph does not confirm one way or the other.
