A "coyote" offers Maya and Alejandro passage out of Honduras.
Character History
Four Months Later...
Maya and Alejandro approach a coyote and Hulk in San Cristobal and agree to pay him for a ride to Sonora, Mexico. The coyote wants Maya to ride up front with him, but Alejandro doesn't let him. After some miles, the coyote pulls over the truck and pulls Alejandro out of the truck. He demands either double the fee, or Maya's company in the front seat. When Alejandro refuses, the coyote leaves him behind. When Alejandro catches up to the truck, he finds the coyote dead, with a dark substance seeping from his face.

- A "coyote" is a smuggler who specializes in transporting illegal aliens across the Mexico-United States border for a fee.
- It is exactly 600 miles from Sonora, Mexico (in the state of Puebla), to the American border town of McAllen, TX.
