Dania Ramírez is the Latina-American actress who portrays Maya Herrera.

Besides Heroes, Dania Ramírez has been an actress in several television series. She was in episode Gypsy Road of 10-8: Officers on Duty as Inez, three episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Caridad, and five episodes of The Sopranos as Blanca Selgado.

Dania Ramírez appeared in the film X-Men:The Last Stand (2006) as "Callisto". She has also been an actress in several other films including Fat Albert (2004) as Lauri, The Fifth Commandment (2006) as Angel, and TV movie Romy and Michele: In the Beginning (2005) as Elena. Right before she worked on Heroes, she appeared in Illegal Tender (2007).
