Ando Masahashi is a co-worker of Hiro Nakamura. He has synthetically given himself the ability to shoot a red energy that amplifies others' powers.

Character History
The Second Coming
When Hiro travels to the future, he sees himself and Future Ando confronting each other on the balcony, with Ando demanding the one half of the formula that Hiro has acquired. When Hiro pulls out his sword and attacks, Future Ando blasts Hiro with a bolt of red energy, apparently killing him. Future Ando then steps over Hiro's body, takes the formula, and moves on.
Evolved Human Abilities
Future Ando has demonstrated the ability to shoot a red energy that amplifies others' powers and serves as an attack ray, which he uses to kill Hiro.
