Section for Suggested Page Header

Should there be a page that "standardizes" the Header section names? Here's my suggestion, feel free to edit in place... —Orne 18:07, 4 December 2006 (EST)

  1. About | Character History
    1. Episode subsection
  2. Memorable Quotes
  3. Gallery
  4. Notes
  5. Trivia
  6. Fan Theories
  7. External References
  • Sounds about right to me. What other headings are there? Character pages have Powers. Locations and places have Notables (Places, Residents, Employees, Visitors). ANy others?—Hardvice (talk) 18:35, 4 December 2006 (EST)
    • I would suggest powers go right after character history (and episodes) - it's the next most important thing. I would also put quotes below at least notes, but that may just be me. —Fcphantom 18:39, 4 December 2006 (EST)
      • I agree, though that's not how they are now. The main reason would be for the main page ... when we put a character as AOTW, we should have About (without the character history), Powers, Quotes, Trivia, and that should make a nice, short but informative version of the article.—Hardvice (talk) 19:36, 4 December 2006 (EST)
        • Many of the pages have Notes and Trivia before the gallery ... I'd really like to go through and standardize the layout of each page. There are other questions, too - like how many pictures (max and min) should go in a gallery? When including photos in the article itself, where should they go? How many should there be? What about actor/crew pages? ... I'd like to get some more feedback so we can really start standardizing each page, before we get too many. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:11, 16 December 2006 (EST)

Plurals:

  1. Some common noun phrases for occupations place an adjective after, not before, the noun. Be careful to make the noun plural, not the adjective (attorneys general, brothers-in-law)
  • They are showing the Incorrect way of doing things?
    • Proper grammar is to pluralize the noun like in the examples. (Admin 22:38, 4 January 2007 (EST))
  • There's NO Code to make Strikeout? Some instruction are confusing and I skipped the ones I don't understand. ~ ~ ~ ~ Red = 22:21, 4 January 2007 (EST)
    • Enclosing text in <s></s> will strikeout. (Admin 22:38, 4 January 2007 (EST))

serial commas

Props on this exemplary sentence: "Sylar killed two women, Charlie and Dale". That's just pure beauty. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:03, 11 March 2007 (EST)

  • When one is a big fan of the Oxford comma, one learns quickly how to illustrate its importance.—Hardvice (talk) 00:28, 11 March 2007 (EST)
