- The burning of Nathan's face was a visual effect. Using digital photography in full make-up, the visual effects department made it appear that Nathan's face was gradually burning.

- Alejandro's wedding was shot on the Universal backlot.
- To make Peter disappear and reappear, an additional take of the hallway was shot without the actor. The visual effects department then took the outline of Peter and applied a glass-like distortion to create this effect.
- Bob's full character name is Robert Bishop.
- Jimmy Jean-Louis, the actor who plays the Haitian, originally auditioned for the role of D.L. Hawkins.
- Nathan's make-up for his face and body took about four hours to put on and two hours to take off.
