Michael Dougherty was to be a writer for the Heroes spin off series, Heroes Origins, before it was cancelled.

As well as being an accomplished writer, Dougherty has also worked as an actor, editor and producer. He has written for movies such as X2, Superman Returns, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary and I, Lucifer, as well as his own production, Trick 'r Treat.
