Purpose

In chapter 1 of Purpose, John Mulligan goes for a job interview and Mr. Rodriguez is the interviewer. Throughout the interview, unknown to Mr. Rodriguez, John rewinds time to undo any mistake he makes. At the end of the interview, Mr. Rodriguez tells John that they will call him.
