The National Broadcasting Company, or NBC is the American television network headquartered in the GE Building in New York City's Rockefeller Center.

About

NBC was created in 1926, originally as a radio broadcasting company. As television revolutionized the world, NBC began broadcasting television programs.

NBC began airing Heroes in late September of 2006. The series is scheduled for broadcast in several other countries.

Homecoming

A male student at Union Wells High School wears a Battlestar Galactica shirt. Battlestar Galactica began airing on the NBC-affiliated SciFi Channel in 2003 and later on NBC in 2004.

Angela Bromstad reports on Jackie's murder. Angela Bromstad is the real life president of NBC Universal Television Studios.

Graphic Novel:Road Kill

Sylar hitchhikes with a trucker from the "Northeast Brewing Company". The brewing company's name can be abbreviated "NBC".

Graphic Novel:War Buddies, Part 1

While in her loft, Hana reviews electronic communication from various places, including an NBC program and the NBC peacock.

Later, the television in Le Bar shows Brian Williams (misspelled as "Brain Williams") on NBC Nightly News reporting on the Nathan Petrelli's Congressional campaign out of New York City.

Lizards

In the background of the dog show that Mr. Muggles watches, the logo for NBC is seen passing by.

Fight or Flight

Monica watches the "Martial Arts Movie of the Week" on "Brava". In real life, "Bravo" is an NBC Universal-owned cable television channel which sometimes shares programming with NBC.

Powerless

A microphone with the MSNBC logo is visible in Nathan's press conference.

Notes

  • Jason Badower reported that NBC was very specific about the name of the brewing company used in Road Kill. Neither Jason nor Annette Kwok caught the reference. Had they known the brewery's name was a reference to NBC, they would have designed a different logo to put on the side of the truck.
  • Brian Williams's name is misspelled "Brain". (War Buddies, Part 1)
