Bhutan is a landlocked nation in the Himalaya Mountains, sandwiched between India and China in South Asia. The Bhutanese call their country Druk Yul (land of the thunder dragon).

Traveler travels to Paro, Bhutan, at Hana's request. He finds it easy to communicate with the locals, perfectly understanding their language, Dzongkha. He visits a small dwelling, but has a terrible accident. He is taken in by Buddhist monks to recover in a temple. While there, he meets someone he believes to be Richard Drucker, and gives him a message from Drucker's niece, Hana.

Hampton Connolly and Richard Drucker crash in Bhutan. Connolly lives there for fifteen years. When Bob comes searching for Drucker, he interrogates Hampton and kills him by turning him into gold.
