About
The Ruins of Copán is an archeological site in extreme western Honduras. The ruins are from the remains of a Mayan village, known as Copán, and include a Mayan pyramid, ballcourt, along with other Mayan artifacts. Tourist businesses, including restaurants and shops, are located close by and form the present city of Copán.

The newspaper article Hana posted on September 4, 2007, notes that on August 22nd, government employees visited the Ruins of Copán and found two villagers dead, with what appeared to be black tears running from their eyes.
