Residence?
Are fire stations technically residences? In other words, should we move this to "Other Residences"? Most Firemen sleep on site since they have to spend 48 or more hours on-shift.—MiamiVolts (talk) 20:02, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- Some are, some aren't. Depends on the firehouse. But even then, firehouses aren't so much residences as they are facilities with places to sleep when fighters are on duty. It would be like calling a hospital a residence because there are beds for the doctors to sleep on. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:39, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- Isn't that why some doctors are called doctors-"in-residence"? j/k ;) That's a good point, though.—MiamiVolts (talk) 21:22, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- On an unrelated note, I finally convinced the final few of my second graders that I really don't live at school...(though sometimes it feels otherwise). — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:37, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- Have you explained to them that there are boarding schools where the students and teachers do live at school? ;)—MiamiVolts (talk) 21:43, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
- No, but I did read them Miss Malarkey Doesn't Live in Room 10. Great book! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:46, 9 May 2008 (EDT)
