Talk:Gravel plant

What's the basis for calling this place the abandoned refinery. How do we know it's not an abandoned cement or fertilizer plant or something else? One of the structures looks like a hopper for some dry material. And I don't see anything that looks like it would have served as an oil tank. Then again, for the life of me, I don't know what this place is, and I'm no oil refinery expert either.—E rowe 22:57, 29 January 2007 (EST)

  • Here is a picture of a defunct oil refinery in Odessa, TX. It doesn't look at all like the place in the show. Of course, if someone on the show has actually called that place a refinery, then that settles it. Have they?—E rowe 23:13, 29 January 2007 (EST)
    • I started the page, but didn't make up the name. I'm not an expert either. I think it looks more like an abandoned oil derrick. Either way, I don't think it makes too much of a difference. But if somebody wants to change the name, that's cool with me. Let's just make sure all the links get updated. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:55, 30 January 2007 (EST)

Claire called it a gravel factory in last night's episode. Also the photo shows rusted hoppers, and a refinery would have no need for hoppers like those.
