If Richard Sanders (Adam Monroe) is related to Niki...

If Richard Sanders is related to Niki, then does Hal have a ability ? Or did it skip one/two generations? Which I'm thinking happened with Monty and Simon (unless the Petrelli boys still need to awakened).

Does Hal Sanders have a ability ? or has it indeed skipped on him..
