Theory:Seismic burst

- Telekinesis is the ability in which one can push with the mind. Not to push with a burst.

• Seismic burst may work by simply 'shoving' objects and people away with the mind.

- Telekinesis was never shown to produce a burst, or any effect other than the movement of the objects and people the ability is used on.

+ In Homecoming, Sylar used telekinesis to throw Claire Bennet against a wall with sufficient force to fracture her bones. This seems similar to what seismic burst can do.

- Ability homology.

- It seemed more like Sylar enhanced his own strength telekinetically.

- Visible distortions in the air imply a change in its refraction index, which would require some form of energy to alter its temperature.

+ Many abilities in this series seem to bend/break the known laws of science. The 'rippling' effect may simply be used to differentiate it from telekinesis and levitation.

+ Mr. Shaw (who had seismic burst) was the father of Alice, who can control the weather. If his ability involved manipulating air currents, then that might explain why Alice's ability was so different from Angela's.
+ When the repairman in The Wall uses seismic burst, the blast expands, taking on the shape of the walls and stairwell much like a sudden gust of wind would.
