Mohinder uses the tuning fork to torture Sylar and get him to admit to his true identity. He strikes the fork and holds it up to Sylar's ear. Sylar's newly acquired enhanced hearing causes him to hear the fork's high-pitched sound more sensitively than others would hear it. Finally, Sylar admits that he is not Zane Taylor, but is the man who murdered Chandra Suresh.
