Noise cancellation is the ability to vocally emit a high-frequency sound that renders nearby sound, especially talking, inaudible except to the person being spoken to directly.

- Brian Lake possesses this ability synthetically after taking an Evolution shot. He later lost it during the Epidemic.
Limits
Brian Lake
Lake can, by screaming at an ultra-high frequency, inaudible to human ears, drown out all sound, especially talking, of nearby people. Those around him can only be heard by the person they directly talking to. He can make this sound continuously for several minutes, so it may not requires breathing.
Examples
- Lake used this ability to create a "cone of silence" for Nathan Petrelli and Matt Parkman. Nathan notes that he finds Lake's ability invaluable and has used him often.
