As events continue to unfold, we take a look into the mind of Jericho and discover what really makes a man turn to murder. (Part 2 of 3)

Story

9th October 1963

Clive Jericho, a supermarket assistant in Brooklyn. Clive had worked at the supermarket for over 5 years. He was a good man, pure of heart, untainted until and event in his life changed the course of his future. Was it a path of his own making or an inevitable road he was forced to take?

“Good morning Clive” – Linus

“And you are?” – Clive

“My name is Linus, and I have reason to believe your not what you appear to be” – Linus

“What do you mean? What do you know about me?” – Clive

“I know those fires last week weren’t accidents, I know you caused them. I know you’ve been causing a lot of fires lately.” – Linus

“OK, how do you know about me?” – Clive

“I know a lot about people like us, I can help you.” – Linus

“Help me how?” – Clive

“By showing how to control your ability, will you let me help you?” – Linus

“Um OK, help me.”– Clive

“Excellent, you’re in good hands.” – Linus

Linus raised his hands and placed them on Clives head.

“I am sorry.” – Linus

“Huh?” – Clive

"You see, you've got to want it to happen, otherwise it won't work." - Linus

He began grasping Clive's head even harder as he began screaming in agony. His eyes rolled back into his head as he began to shake uncontrollably.

“Do you remember who you are?” – Linus

“The time of redemption is at hand, the sinners shall be cleansed!” – Clive

“Perfect!” - Linus

Clive looked distant, lost. He wasn’t the man he used to be. He took one look into the man’s eyes, turned, and then walked away. Linus was smiling from cheek to cheek as Clive left the store.
