Alan Carter tries to call Thompson to discuss his mission but he is stopped by Dylan.
Side Story: The Partner Part 2
One month before the mission to catch Harry Chow started, Thompson sat with Dylan Tyler to discuss giving him a new partner. When Dylan insisted that his old partner would return, Thompson handed him some police reports showing that he had become a criminal. Thompson then introduced Dylan to Alan Carter.
