Connor relaxes with Rosie, when they are confronted by a serious-looking man who tells them to move inside; they do so. After shooting an employee the man finds his phone going off and exploding, killing him. To Connor and Rosie's dismay, Leckie then enters, but Connor blasts him with water before he can take their abilities and the pair escape. Back outside Leckie finds Minerva sitting alone and proceeds to take her ability.
