Shattering is the ability to shatter objects without physical contact.

- Sylar stole this ability from Trevor, but lost it after being infected with the Shanti virus.

Limits
Trevor Zeitlan
Trevor is able to shatter items from at least a few meters away (Villains). He has only been seen to shatter glass items, although he did seem to think it would make an effective weapon when threatened by Sylar. Sylar was wearing glasses at the time, and Trevor's effort may have been to blind him.
To use his ability, Trevor aims at his target with his index finger and "fires" by dropping his thumb like the hammer of a pistol. Trevor apparently needed to make this gesture to use his power, as he was unable to defend himself when Sylar telekinetically pinned his hands to the wall.
Caroline Bishop
Caroline seems to be more proficient in her ability than Trevor, successfuly using it in an offensive capacity. While angrily evicting Adam from her house, she shatters the bones in his forearm, which quickly fuse back together
Her apparent preferred gesture was to ball her hand into a fist and point it at her target. When she suddenly opened her fist the target would fly into pieces.
