Wavelength manipulation is the ability to manipulate the wavelength of any aspect of the electromagnetic spectrum.

• Surge Deimos is the only character known to possess this ability.

Limits

According to his Assignment Tracker profile, Surge will eventually be capable of manipulating the entire electromagnetic spectrum at will. Currently, however, he has only shown willing manipulation of two aspects of the spectrum.

Visible light

Surge has shown he is capable of manipulating the color of visible light with his ability. By doing this, he is able to create spectactular works of art on a blank canvas with no artistic mediums even without physical contact.

Radio

Surge has more recently displayed control over radio waves. He has shown that, by altering the frequency of radio waves, he is capable of disrupting the reception of radios, televisions, and cell phones, even temporarily disabling them as his cousin does with his ability.
