Welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
- If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
- Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add --~~~~ or click the signature button.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any fanmade content to the Wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Jfjhong/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!
Spoilers
Hi jfhong. Just a quick word on your recent edits. The things you have posted as 'spoilers' about Sparrow, Flint and Nana were actually shown in-story and therefore are canon to the Heroes universe. Therefore, they are not spoilers and have been removed. See here, at the bottom, for a proposition on how to post spoilers. — Tristan0709 talk 07:06, 5 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hi. Newbie here. Sorry about that. I'll read the guideliness before posting anything in spoilers. But why was the Spoiler of Volume 5 begings filming on June removed from the spoilers main section? I think it does comply with everything you said. — Jfjhong
- Hey, Jfjhong. Welcome to Heroes Wiki! Another quick note about spoilers. I'm not sure that filming dates is considered a spoiler, and I really don't think it needs to be an announcement on Spoiler:Heroes. I mean, it's cool information, but it's really more news than it is a spoiler. The same thing with posting about Ollie Grigsby's new blog. Again, awesome resource from an awesome guy, but it's not really a spoiler. Thanks for understanding! Let me know if you have any questions. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:24, 5 May 2009 (EDT)
- Hi. Yeah I understand why oliver's blog is not a spoiler. That is why I later erased it and only announce the filming date but I guess that isn't really a spoiler either... Thanks for the input :) I'm new to the wiki but ill try to stick to the rules until i fully understand them
- No worries at all, Jfjhong. And they're not so much "rules" as they are just good practices. :) Hey, and while you're learning the Way of the Wiki, let me teach you how to do a signature real quick. On discussion pages (like this one), at the end of the message you can either push the signature button, or type four tildes ~~~~, and it will automatically print your name and date. Thanks, and keep up the good work! :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:23, 5 May 2009 (EDT)
