Welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you are new to Heroes, you might want to start at the New User Portal.
  • If you're not too familiar with editing Wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
  • If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
  • Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the Wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add ~~~~ or click the signature button.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.

Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Re: Does this work?

To answer your question here: YES and no. Yes because it is automated and it does what I want it to do plus some things that I didnt know I wanted done until I saw them. No because I need the headings that the template puts the data under to be at the level shown here:
 ====[[Drawn]]====
and not at this level here:
 ==[[Drawn]]==

patrolling

  • Are you interested in being a patroller here? (Admin 16:36, 12 February 2008 (EST))
    • Sure, I check most of the edits anyway. -Lөvөl 02:06, 13 February 2008 (EST)
      • There you go. Refresh your browser and make sure you can see the red exclamation marks on special:recentchanges. You can go ahead and add yourself to Heroes Wiki:Patrollers. Let me know if there are any problems. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:23, 13 February 2008 (EST)
        • Thanks, I didn't see any !s because there weren't any unpatrolled edits, but I see them now. -Lөvөl 02:51, 13 February 2008 (EST)
        • Congrats and welcome to the patrollers group, Level.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:38, 13 February 2008 (EST)
          • Thanks. -Lөvөl 02:51, 13 February 2008 (EST)

Despamification

Thanks for helping me out! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:36, 13 February 2008 (EST)

  • You're welcome, I saw your edit and decided to see if it could be seen on Google, and it was. -Lөvөl 03:40, 14 February 2008 (EST)

Jawbone's brother

Would that be Nephi's uncle? :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:23, 29 February 2008 (EST)

  • Nope, his brother to. -Lөvөl 11:48, 29 February 2008 (EST)

Orphaned articles

  • See Heroes Wiki:Used files. They should all be "used" now.--MiamiVolts (talk) 04:06, 2 March 2008 (EST)
    • I was thinking something like that should be done, good job. -Lөvөl 04:12, 2 March 2008 (EST)
    • I'm very happy that this was done. Those orphaned pages were really bugging me! -- Lulu (talk) 17:29, 2 March 2008 (EST)

Animated novel downloads

  • Yeah, I can view the novels online at http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/episodes.shtml, but after choosing a novel I keep clicking the down arrow to download it, but nothing happens. Looks like it's buggy. Does it work for you?--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:17, 28 March 2008 (EDT)
    • I wasn't sure if it didn't work because I don't have the plugin or viewer or if they can't be downloaded. -Lөvөl 16:29, 28 March 2008 (EDT)
      • Ah, I found out you have to download and install the plugin from here, but for Windows you have to have XP or Vista. I have 2000 so I can't use it. Drat. Maybe you can download it? I should add that even though I have 2000 I tried to download it and install it. It upgraded my Windows components, and restarted my computer. Then a box came up saying something like "Sorry, you need to have at least Windows XP to use this software." After clicking ok, my computer froze; but I rebooted it and it's okay. Needless to say, I've deleted the installer from my computer.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:32, 28 March 2008 (EDT)
        • Hrm, maybe it did mess with my computer more than I realized. I just did the latest Windows 2000 update and it crashed that computer such that it goes to the blue screen of death, even for safe mode giving the error "STOP: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE". And running my separate boot disk it says it can't find a fat or fat32 sector on the drive, hrm. I'm on a different computer now, and searching for info on the error on the chance that it was just the security update that just hosed my other pc...--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:33, 30 March 2008 (EDT)
        • FWIW, it's just the windows registry that got screwed up with the drive. I moved the drive to my other computer today and it's operating fine as a slave. I haven't found anything online about the latest windows 2k update, but I'm going to wait a bit before installing it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:06, 31 March 2008 (EDT)

Happy Birthday!

SacValleyDweller has a birthday this month too. Best wishes.--MiamiVolts (talk) 02:51, 1 May 2008 (EDT)

  • Thanks. -Lөvөl 12:46, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
  • LOL cool we got the same birthday ~ Rockyrojas88

Thanks

Thank you for the welcome. I've added the content that was deleted to your credits listings (at User:Level/Credits/Four Months Later...) - I've tried to follow your formatting for the season 1 credits, hope thats OK. I'm happy to help out with the credits as best I can and will continue to add the season 2 ones that I have access to.--Opark 77 11:43, 1 May 2008 (EDT)

  • You're welcome. You are doing a good job, I won't be able to work on season 2 till the DVD comes out. -Lөvөl 12:44, 1 May 2008 (EDT)

Broken redirects

  • I finally got around to fixing the broken redirects. Took a little bit of reviewing the MediaWiki code and the database to see exactly what criteria it was using to determine that they were "broken", but I fixed it. (Admin 22:52, 28 May 2008 (EDT))

Your 'List

Any chance you could send me any of your work? I hope to take Film Production at Uni. --Skywalkerrbf 13:09, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

  • It depends, what do you want? It is mostly character descriptions and comic book scripts. None of it is finished, especially the movie scripts. -Lөvөl 13:25, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
    • I was thinking the comic strips and character descriptions to go with them --Skywalkerrbf 13:28, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
      • I'll see what I can do when I get home. -Lөvөl 13:51, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

Patrolling guidelines

Hey, Level. As we approach the start of a new season and what promises to be a very busy time on the wiki, I suggested some tips for patrolling here. Check them out when you get a chance. Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:58, 19 September 2008 (EDT)

Help?

Could you please help me get the hang of this? --Sargeras 15:08, 10 October 2008 (EDT)

  • I can try, what do you need help with? -Lөvөl 19:59, 10 October 2008 (EDT)

work as an extra

You got work as an extra because of your beard? Do explain, please! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:47, 16 July 2013 (EDT)

I let my beard and hair grow long for several months then got to film several scenes for some New Testament videos, they will be on biblevideos.org. I was there for "Render unto Caesar and unto God", but I am behind the pillar that is behind the pillar at the beginning so can't be seen. -Lөvөl 14:52, 16 July 2013 (EDT)
Very cool! I was recently released as seminary teacher, but I'm teaching Sunday School now. Maybe I'll use that video. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:53, 20 August 2013 (EDT)

Terry Hart

Hey. Out of curiosity, how do you know that this is the right Terry Hart? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:11, 29 July 2015 (EDT)

  • I watched any shows that were available with a Terry Hart in them, unfortunately he was not the one in 7th Heaven, and even more unfortunately he was the one in G-Spot. -Lөvөl 23:19, 29 July 2015 (EDT)
    • Ha ha! Thank you for sacrificing your dignity for the wiki!! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:14, 30 July 2015 (EDT)

Administrator

  • Hey. Are you interesting in being an administrator here? :) (Admin (talk) 01:11, 21 August 2015 (EDT))
    • Sure, I try to watch everything that is going on here anyway. -Lөvөl 03:11, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

Template:GN

Hey, sorry for just taking out all those links — I had forgotten that you updated them with the wayback machine. I went through and made some changes so it only includes live links and only puts links on the page if there is an archive variable added. Will you double check to make sure that it's the way it should be and is properly cleaned up? Thanks! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:37, 11 October 2015 (EDT)

  • It is alright, I can see why you don't want a bunch of dead links. I do need the old links in order to find the archive links, but I can do if from my list. It looks like it is the way it should be so far, I will see for sure when editing. -Lөvөl 00:16, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

GN archive links

Thank you!! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:58, 22 October 2015 (EDT)

  • You are welcome. I still have many to do, including some that can't use the same link. -Lөvөl 21:58, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
