Is there a way to specify the widths of the TOCs on pages? Also, is there a way to cause the TOC to be hidden (or "collapsed") by default? —Radicell 05:22, 1 November 2009 (EST)
- Sort of. To specify the width of the TOC, you have to use a TOC template. Try adding
{{tocleft|100px}}to make a super thin TOC. Making it wider than normal (like{{tocleft|700px}}) will only pad whitespace to the right of the TOC, not make the actual box wider. As for a TOC that is hidden as a default, we don't have anything like that here. However, take a look at Wikipedia's custom template for a hidden TOC. I'm not sure if we have the capabilities to recreate that here or not—we might, I just don't know. Hope that helps. Let me know if you'd like me to do a bit of further investigating for you. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 11:34, 1 November 2009 (EST)- One additional thing, which I think Radicell might have been alluding to re. hiding the TOC: You can suppress a TOC from appearing on a page by adding "__NOTOC__" (minus the quotes) on a line by itself on the page.—MiamiVolts (talk) 00:09, 3 November 2009 (EST)

Hi Ryan, sorry if bother you but I ask you something. A few days ago, on this site I found a page on all pairs of agents of the company (ex. Noah-Elle, Noah-Meredith...) you may post them here the link to the page that I can not find more? Thanks, TanderixUTSPD

About a week ago I asked you to delete some userpages I wasn't using before and I forgot to ask if you could delete the unused images from them as well. Just checking, is the image I uploaded in the correct size and category? also, would it be considered a spoiler to add the "episodes directed" section now? - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 11:30, 1 November 2009 (EST)
- Correct size, check. Correct category, check. (Good find on the image, by the way!) I don't consider the director of an episode to be a spoiler—we've already added that template to other directors (like Nate Goodman and Jim Chory) and writers (like Rob Fresco and Mark Verheiden). I think it's fine to add the template. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 11:43, 1 November 2009 (EST)

Matt Jr Youngest?
Is matt jr still the youngest to have an ability. With the new Istory, is Draph or his twin brother, not the youngest to have an ability. Or does this not count because it is not from a cannon source? —mc_hammark 12:35, 4 November 2009 (EST)
- Only the information from the iStory is considered canonical (or near-canonical, as the case may be). The information from Heroes: Survival is not canonical. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:59, 4 November 2009 (EST)
Draph
Hey, as you've noticed, people are raising issue with Phoenix Mimicry. It was not my intent to create something unreasonable and I just thought it was something fairly original. What is your opinion? I would be fine with changing my Survival story for simplicity and 'canoness' if you feel its best for everyone.
- Personally, I like the ability (which is one reason I helped recommend Draph to be a crossover character)...but that's just my opinion, which really has nothing to do with whether we consider the ability to be part of the Heroes canon on this wiki or not. Nor does it matter what other people think. Fans always get up in arms about certain things, and there's not much that can be done about it. I think there was a lot of unnecessary rudeness on the ability's talk page, and for that people should be ashamed. But beyond that, Draph and phoenix mimicry were featured in an iStory, so they are from a canon (or rather, a near-canon) source, and should absolutely be included in the wiki, of course. As for the backstory that you wrote at Heroes: Survival, that's a secondary source, and not considered a canon (or near-canon) source. That information can be on the wiki, but it should remain in the notes section of Draph's page, and the notes section of the ability page. Only the information featured in the iStory itself belongs in the main body of the articles.
By the way, congratulations on being featured as the third crossover character of this iStory! I think Zach Wilson did a great job synthesizing the background information you wrote at Heroes: Survival. You should be proud! :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 07:50, 5 November 2009 (EST)
- Thank you, I was extremely pleased! I have noticed other people adding Survival info to other pages. I've been trying to take it down but it still gets put back up. So I was wondering if you could be a more authoritative matter on those issues, namely Ability Replication and Telekinesis. Also, for some of the character information, can that still go into the "about" section, as I have seen all other crossover characters do? (EDIT) plus, if you ever see something that should not be in any of the pages, please change it immediately, (as you prob would have done anyway) I just want Draph and his pages to be the most canon as possible for an istory character.
- Will do, Draph. I've read the iStory, but I haven't gotten around to doing much editing this week—my wife and I have been in and out of the hospital with contractions. The baby should come any time now. I wouldn't be surprised if she's born this weekend! — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:48, 5 November 2009 (EST)
- Well, hot dog, congrats! I don't think it should be that much of a problem anymore, the changes have seemingly stopped re-emerging. Although, Draph is still under some heavy fire for being a mimic and having an unique ability. :( o well. haha. Congrats again! Draphoenix 22:47, 5 November 2009 (EST)

Layout Help
I'm updating my userpage and I need to create a floating box. If you have a minute could you give me a hand, I need to make the sidebar appear side by side with the title bars, User:Jenx222/Sandbox/Userpage I'd appreciate the help, thanks - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 05:03, 5 November 2009 (EST)
- On that page, you have the width set (twice) to be 100%. Take that out, because that's making the table you've created span the entire page. Not good. Instead, add in
class="infobox", which will float the entire box on the right side of the page. I also suggest you take a look at other infoboxes (like template:character box or template:user infobox), and then copy the pertinent codes from those pages, and customize it so it fits what you want. If you're still having trouble, let me know. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 07:57, 5 November 2009 (EST)- Still having trouble, the first 100% width is for the page background and the second is for the title bar. About my template
I wasn't trying to do something with spoilers, I was trying to create a template (rather unsuccessfully), that would allow for text to appear as black bars or "censored". I wanted the text to only be revealed by moving the cursor over it, like this: http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Template:C . I'm not sure how to do that, but I was trying to figure it out, which is why it currently doesn't do anything. If you could help out in any way, (again, I'm not doing anything with spoilers) it would be much appreciated. —Bender 22:22, 5 November 2009 (EST)

Consensus
Hey, about the consensus check on Trevor's ability. We do have enough information to make a decision as it stands, we've seen a clear example of what the ability does and we also have a description from the writers. It's very doubtful we will ever get to know more about it, but what we do know is, this is an ability and this is all it does (shatter glass), It's speculative to say it would have even worked on Sylar. I think this is justified grounds for a consensus check, what do you think? - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 05:41, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- There is no consensus for a name. I believe I left a comment on that talk page last night. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:15, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- I think I may have worded my explanation incorrectly, I meant that there is enough information to run a consensus check, clearly as it stands there is no consensus but I'm sure in time a consensus can be reached. - Jenx222 | U · T · CHTC 17:46, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- I appreciate your enthusiasm and optimism, but time has only shown that our community is split on the name. The article's talk page itself serves as a consensus check. However, a formal consensus check was conducted when the ability first debuted a year ago (see here). It was painfully obvious that there was no consensus on a name back then. Here we are, a year later with absolutely no new information, and there is still no consensus. However, a formal consensus check was held in recent days (see here). It is still clear as day that the community does not agree on a name. I believe that this is because we have not found a name that is non-speculative. But whatever the reason, more than one consensus check has been conducted (when only one was needed), and both have concluded that there is no consensus. With no new information about the ability, another consensus check would be superfluous. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 18:37, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- Can you tell me exactly how blasting is speculative? It's exactly what he did to the glass. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:40, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- A blast is (or connotes) a strong gust or stream of wind or air. I don't know if that's how Trevor blew up those glasses. But regardless, that's really not the point of my post above. The point of the above post is that there is no consensus on a name, and no need for another consensus check. But speculative or not, it's just my own idea that the reason our community can't come to a consensus is because there is no non-speculative name, or at least our community perceives that there is no non-speculative name. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 18:45, 6 November 2009 (EST)

A Few Things...
Hey Ryan. God it's been ages since I've spoken to you - but hi. Sorry about not being on the wiki much lately, I've been busy with school, but it's starting to clear up now, so I'll be on a bit more. Firstly, you might want to watch Draphphoenix. He is the creator or Draph from the istory, and with the raging argument going on with Phoenix mimicry he seems to have tried to correct himself, but took it a bit to far, he deleted all the information from the page here. I'm not sure if I'm right to be correcting, but he deleted all the info and changed anything without any given consenus, so I'd thought I'd change it back. I don't think he needs to be blocked, but a just a heads up - he seems nice, but I'd be annoyed too if so many people were slamming my ability. On this subject, congrats on becoming a istory writer! Just wondering, how do you pick people from Heroes Survival to go into istory. Personally, I'm a fan of phoenix mimicry, but others, lets say not so much. Also, when you choose them from survival, do you make everything they say 'canon' - because I can see this getting confusing. Taking Draph into account for example, his twin died in the womb and he acquired without having an ability to mimic other abilities. I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear, but the whole thing is starting to confuse me now. Thanks —IronyUTC CH 15:22, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- Hey, Irony. Thanks for the heads up about Draphoenix. He contacted me above about some of his concerns. People have been unnecessarily rude about his creation, which I just don't understand. Regardless, he shouldn't have blanked the page about the power, even if it was something he thought of originally. The power now belongs to the world of Heroes, not to any individual. I think you're right though, that in this case it's not an act of vandalism, but just a good guy who got frustrated with rude things people were saying about him.
I'm actually not an iStory writer, but I work very closely with Zach Wilson, who is the writer of the iStory. The rest of us help, support, approve, and collaborate with Zach. I am not the only one who chooses H:S characters to cross over, but I am one of the people. Personally, I look for characters who have cool powers and cool backstories. There's no science to it—when I see something that strikes me as cool, I note it. Zach has a few different criteria, as he's trying to look for a character that will fit in his story, as well as be a "cool" character.
As for the canonicity of H:S, I covered that information a bit covered here, but I'll certainly talk more about it, because I don't want anybody to be confused by the levels of what's "official" and what's not. :) The information created by fans is not canon. Only the stories told in the iStories, graphic novels, etc. is canon (or near-canon, as the case may be). With very few exceptions (like pictures and page titles), we only put the information from Heroes: Survival in the notes. It's the information Zach (and other writers) use as a basis to create the character in the canon or near-canon works. But all the "extra" information that wasn't actually included in the iStory should be kept in the notes. That also means that if a character from H:S is featured in the iStory, but he doesn't demonstrate a power, he should not be considered an evolved human. The information about his power should be kept in the notes.
I hope that long-winded explanation helps! :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:36, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- But if only the stuff that appears in the istory is canon, does that not mean that his ability name is not cannon? —mc_hammark 15:49, 6 November 2009 (EST)
- The ability name is not canon. It comes from a secondary source. See the "power names" box on talk:phoenix mimicry. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 18:28, 6 November 2009 (EST)

Character Appearances
How come Isaac is considered a Season 4 character. They just placed this clip in the episode, it was originally in Seven Minutes to Midnight. I think it would please a lot more fans and make more sense if we made the template at the bottem of the page a season 1 instead of a season 4. This would also apply to characters that were in the Hall or Mirrors in Tabula Rasa. Please condsider this. Homersimpson 19:46, 7 November 2009 (EST)
- I think the difference is that even though it was old footage, Santiago Cabrera's name was in the credits. I could be wrong though. — Tristan0709 talk 23:01, 7 November 2009 (EST)
It may be because his name was in the credits, however the names of the actresses who play Jackie, Sue Landers and Ted were not listed in the credits. I think we should stick to keeping them as season one characters or three in Sue's case. With Isaac, I say we should leave it as a season four minor foor now but consider correcting it to season one. Homersimpson 16:12, 8 November 2009 (EST)
- I'm pretty sure Isaac's footage was actually new footage in Once Upon a Time in Texas. But even if it isn't, we still include archival footage as part of the show. We don't distinguish between archival footage and new footage. For our purposes at the wiki, it's all the same. So the hall of mirrors scene included several characters that had not yet been seen in Season Four, and they are now all Season Four characters. (The only exception to this is montages of scenes that have not yet happened yet, like at the beginning of Orientation.) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:20, 8 November 2009 (EST)

Tom's ability consensus
Hey Ryan. There has been talk, without any objections to renaming Tom's ability to Disintegration. I know you have said on the Trevor's ability consensus that we have little info about the ability, and the community has not been able to come to a consensus. What would be your input on this consensus?—Catalyst · Talk · HL 21:27, 7 November 2009 (EST)
- I gave my input back when the ability was originally shown on Heroes. I like "collapsing" or "crumbling". I also think "disintegration" is good. I don't have a preference for one over the other. So long as the community agrees on a name, we're solid. On another note, one of the reasons I'm so opposed to a name for Trevor's ability has less to do with not knowing enough about the power (though that's certainly true), and much more to do with the writers' comment. I try to always take my cue from the writers and creative staff. When the writers were asked what the name of Trevor's ability was, their answer was a sarcastic way of basically saying that there is no name for the power. Until we learn more about it, I think "Trevor's ability" is what we should call it. For Tom's ability, though, as long as it describes what we've seen Tom do (crumbling, collapsing, disintegration, etc.), I'm fine with it. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 16:27, 8 November 2009 (EST)
- Ryan, can you sort this out? Instead of moving the article, someone copied and pasted the info to "disintegration", which was a redirect to Felicia's ability. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:05, 8 November 2009 (EST)

Hey Ryan,
Did you notice what I wrote in the talk page of Phoenix mimicry and of Draphoenix. I'm really sad that Draphoenix went and changed his power's name in his HS page. Probably, he hasn't been around and didn't see much of what I wrote about/to him, (I really meant what I wrote) or he's really too offended. Could you communicate in any way with him, to say that there are actually people supporting him and his name of the power and to tell him that may be it's better if he changes back the name in the HS page (you would know better the latter part).
Does it become official now when he changes the name to pyrokinesis. Then do we have to delete the Phoenix mimicry page?!! I hope not. By the way, could you take a look to what I wrote to the talk page of memory restoration. What do you think? —Janrodrigo 09:11, 10 November 2009 (EST)
- I've talked with Draphoenix quite a bit...I agree, it's too bad that he's changed the name of the ability, I suppose either out of pressure from what he perceived from the community, or from the desire to just forget about having a power that some people didn't like. But what's even sadder is that our community decided to rail upon the ability and character (and in turn, the creator of both) so much. I don't understand why people who don't like something can't just keep it to themselves. I guess some people just have diarrhea of the mouth. Oh well. But no, any changes to Draph's H:S page are not canon. Part of the reason Zach Wilson and I chose his character was because we liked the phoenix mimicry power. We thought it was different, cool, and would be a fun one to write about. We didn't choose a character that had pyrokinesis, we chose a character that could mimic phoenixes. That's the ability that was shown in the iStory, no matter what changes were made to the character's H:S profile.
On another note, Jan, thanks for being such a helpful citizen of the Heroes community and a strong team player. Your supportive comments throughout the wiki (and particularly on the phonenix mimicry talk page) are much appreciated by me, and I'm sure by others. Proposal to name ambiguous abilities
Before I am told that it has been discussed at length before, I want to propose that we take any ability named on this wiki by possessor's name and try to find an appropriate terminology for it, obviously based on what we know about the ability itself. If it were ever to expand on the show (it doesn't look like the majority of them will, to be honest), we could always just modify it as everyone sees fit. These are:
Just a mere three that don't have a proper name. Do you think we should go forward with this? It would certainly make the abilities portal look more complete.—Citizen 13:46, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- These abilities have been discussed at lengths, have a look at their talk pages. Trevor's ability is on its way, don't worry. There's a group of us that are slowly pushing for names to be chosen. Notice how there's no longer Tom's ability, Damien's ability or Teddy's ability. We're getting there but hopefully the ones you mentioned above will be changed soon. Oh, and Ryan's wife is in labour as far as I know so he may not be on for a while. —mc_hammark 13:52, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- Mc, the difference between Citizen's three and your three, is that people were able to agree on your three. Nobody can agree on Citizen's. Which is why they don't have names already after 1-2 years. I don't think its a bad idea.—Catalyst · Talk · HL 13:55, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- No, i know that, all I'm saying is that recently, there's been a group of us pushing for name changes for these abilities, so will most probably get them changed at some point in the near future. —mc_hammark 13:57, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- But it is still not likely. Citizen's three have been discussed for a couple years. Your three are more recent. If we haven't gotten names for the first three in about two years (now i'm not saying it's impossible), it's not likely we are going to be getting names for them.—Catalyst · Talk · HL 14:15, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- I see what you're saying, but I think it's a positive thing that they're still being discussed and haven't been named after two years. It gives us an incentive to actually give them names. Back then, it was all about "Let's wait until season three or a flashback episode to see if the ability is defined more". Alejandro's ability is clearly not going to make another appearance, so would we rather evaluate all it is capable of and give it a name or just leave it like that forever? What this needs is organization and a special page where we can discuss these kind of things for all abilities that fall under this category. I'd feel much obliged to create a subpage for this if its necessary.—Citizen 14:32, 11 November 2009 (EST)
- Catalyst is right—the difference between the two lists of powers is that our community agreed on names for one list, but not for the other. Additionally, I haven't seen a good name for Alejandro's ability, and there has been absolutely no new information about the power in a long time. I have my own thoughts on Mohinder's ability, and I have seen quite a few good names, but our community has not agreed on one. And with Trevor's ability, I take my cue from the writers—they were asked what the name was, and they gave an answer that was a sarcastic way of saying that there is no name for the ability, and I agree with them.
There is nothing wrong with having an ability named after a person. It's not ideal, but it's not wrong. And since the question was asked, I'm not a fan of changing the names of abilities when there's no new information about them—especially when the reason is that other similarly named abilities have been changed.

- I don't really have an opinion either way with ability naming, but, just as an example - if you just came onto the wiki for the first time, you wouldn't nessecarily remember the name Trezor Zetilan, so mabye on the abilities portal should either have a small description of each ability or for the so and so's ability there should be a footnote describing the ability. —IronyUTC CH 14:13, 14 November 2009 (EST)

René the Haitian
Hey Ryan - I noticed that on the Haitian's page, his name was changed to René for all 4 seasons. However, in the case of Mr.Bennet, his name was kept as "Mr.Bennet" in the summary of season 1. Therefore, I think that the Haitian should be referred to as "The Haitian" for at least seasons 1-3, if not those and the episodes before "Shadowboxing". It ruins the mystery for anyone who is watching Heroes and has not caught up to Volume 5. Thanks —Dan 22:39, 11 November 2009 (EST)

Checklists
I know I always ask about these! But I have some questions. The webisodes, (Slow Burn, Part 7 in particular) are there any new interviews/videos that need to be added? Or can they be checked off? Also, how would you update the guest cast portal? And how would you check off the individual name? Also, what time frame are we looking at in these? ~~Iheartheroes speaks! *G-N* 21:15, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- I don't know of any videos or interviews related to Slow Burn, Part 7, other than the link to the webisode itself. The guest cast portal doesn't need to be updated because the only new characters who appeared have already appeared in the episodes. I don't know what you mean by checking off the individual name or the time frame. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:19, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- I mean like under the "Update Guest Portal" column thing, you list the actors/actresses and there is a line to the side, where you check them off. Is there anything that needs to be done for them? And for the timeline, when would this time frame be? ~~Iheartheroes speaks! *G-N* 21:33, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- Nothing needs to be done under "Update Guest Portal". This webisode takes place while Samuel is off with Claire. However, it's difficult to say what year—there is evidence that points to 2007, 2008, and 2009 (see here). I would just check off that it's done, since we really can't put the information under a particular time. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:40, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- But it isn't done. We can wait and put it on there later. ~~Iheartheroes speaks! *G-N* 21:46, 12 November 2009 (EST)
- That's fine...but the reason it isn't done is because it can't be done (and shouldn't be done). See Talk:Timeline:Post-March 2007#200when?. If we state that events in Season Four take place in a certain time, we automatically negate canon information, since the canon information negates itself. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 21:52, 12 November 2009 (EST)

Discussion Pages
Catalyst and I have been having a lively discussion/debate about discussion pages being filled with speculation. On the Help:Style page Speculation is defined as Theories, Fan Creations & Spoilers. Catalyst seemed to think that spoilers are not speculation but the Help page disagrees and is pretty clear. Can you help me to clear this up? Thanks. Empath1974 03:52, 17 November 2009 (PDT)
- Do you have a link to some of the discussions in question? It would help to see the speculation in question. However, speculation is certainly allowed on talk pages. Spoilers are not allowed on talk pages, unless the talk page is a spoiler talk page. That includes theory pages—spoilers don't belong on theory talk pages, either. However, speculation can go anywhere, so long as it doesn't include spoilers. So speculation is fine anywhere. Remember, spoilers are only one part of speculation. All spoilers are speculation, but not all speculation is a spoiler. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:18, 17 November 2009 (EST)

Unused templates
Most of the templates there that start with 'newpage' are blank. Does that mean we can delete them?—Boom D 8,909 22:41, 19 November 2009 (EST)
- No. They all get used when somebody is trying to make a new page. Clicking on the buttons that pop up (they say things like "character", "place", "crew", etc.) calls up the "newpage" templates. The templates aren't actually blank, we've just used "includeonly" logic. Click on the edit button to see what the template looks like. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 22:44, 19 November 2009 (EST)
Peter's picture
Can I understand why no one talk about it and it just decided we do it your way ? Why don't we vote if people prefer an outdated picture or a recent one which matches the actual character... ? O_o—Kleith 00:42, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- We're using an image that you uploaded on October 5. Who says we're doing it my way any more than we're doing it your way. Personally, I don't see anything outdated about the picture that's up at the moment, and I think it's important for the pictures in Portal:Main Characters/Season Four to look similar, if possible. I also don't think it's a good idea to use a picture that is over exposed on one side, and very dark on the other side. It's also nice to have the character looking at you, if possible. However, if you would like to open a dialogue about the image, feel free. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 00:48, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- The image from October 5 is from the same photoshoot and still has short hair. It's not "my" way, it's just that this picture was released just very recently so I figured some people could have missed it, and since Peter's hair in the beginning of the season weren't as long as they are now, it seemed much better. Same photoshoot so I don't see where there could be a problem by updating it with a one that looks like more Peter, it wasn't especially "my way"... I used a "shades of gray" background on the first Peter so, definitely it looked liked the other ones. Thought I understand your concern about the character looking at you. But then you have to understand, since no photoshoot exist for the new season, that weither we use a "released recently" season 1 photoshoot, or a season 5 / volume 4 stills to make it a potrait, the exposure will never match 100% the other ones since we don't have the same artificial lights ! If the picture has the same background, looks at you, and is older than S1, While not being too dark or bright on one side compared to the other, I think it's already a progress. It's not our fault if they didn't make any photoshoot this season. That doesn't mean a character must have a look he doesn't have anymore. Milo has a face that changes a lot weither his hair is long or not.—Kleith 07:54, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- So I made a new one, what do you think ? Feel free to give all the advices possible in order to do something that matches your wants, and still allow to change the short hair (outdated then :p ) picture. ;)—Kleith 09:18, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- Since you're asking my personal opinion, I don't mind this photo...but I prefer this photo since it's cleaner. But I'm fine with either one, personally. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 11:10, 20 November 2009 (EST)

Thanks you so much Ryan :) —Yoshi n1 15:52, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- My pleasure. I noticed that you're not using the signature you created. Any reason why not? I like that sig... — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 15:54, 20 November 2009 (EST)
Re:Aspect ratio
currecly i'm using photoshop cs3, i know that it's kinda strange to use photoshop if i just want to change the size of a image but when i use microsoft office picture manager and resize it, it's never the good size(for instance when i want 200x250 it becomes 199x250). You got an better program for me?—Yoshi n1 - Talk - Contributions 17:02, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- I'm a huge fan of Gimp. It's alternately as simple and as complex as you'd like it to be. I've run into the same problems with Microsoft—yeah, you have to make it 201, which sucks. I'm not familiar with photoshop cs3, but basically if you want to change the size of an image, make sure you change the height and width by the same percentage. Either that, or there should be an option to "keep aspect" or "maintain aspect" or something like that. But again, I suggest using Gimp.
As for your signature, you'll need to create a second page (something like "User:Youshi n1/autosig") which simply says
{{user:yoshi n1/sig}}Then make sure that your preferences subst the autosig page, not the sig page. Let me know if you need help with either issue. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:22, 20 November 2009 (EST)- Already got it, thanks anyway :)—Yoshi n1 - Talk - Contributions 17:28, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- Nope, it doesn't look like you've got it yet. When you get your signature worked out, then there will be no coding when you sign with four tildes. Instead, the only thing that will show up is
{{user:yoshi n1/sig}}, like what's written at the end of my messages. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 17:32, 20 November 2009 (EST)

A Few Problems
On the episode appearance page, the BK template won't show up for me. Why is that? Also, I've noticed that on the Template for the characters in Season Four, the minor character link goes to the Season Three ones. I've tried to fix this, but I couldn't. I just thtought I'd point that out to you! ~~Iheartheroes speaks! *G-N* 20:25, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- Funny, I'm working on that as we speak. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:28, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- I saw the new thing, but I don't think that produces the same effect. And why is the GN appearances working if it has more? Also, what if you made one Template for each of the first 4 volumes and put the templates for each episode on that and then put the big one on the appearance page? Would that work? ~~Iheartheroes speaks! *G-N* 20:44, 20 November 2009 (EST)
- I just split the page. It's such a long page that it's probably the best idea, rather than making templates on top of templates. — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 20:48, 20 November 2009 (EST)

- Good, I'm glad you like it. It was Hardvice who originally turned me on to it. I'm continually discovering new functions. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 11:44, 21 November 2009 (EST)
- By the way, to keep the aspect ratio when resizing pictures, you can either hold down CTRL, click the "Keep aspect" box, or click the little symbol that looks like a broken chain to make it a whole chain. If you have any questions about the program, let me know. I'm glad to help out however I can. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (new comment) 11:45, 21 November 2009 (EST)
Test
Hi Ryan, this is just a test. Is this a good image with the right aspect ratio?—Yoshi n1
