Hiro uses a computer in Linderman's archives to find the Kensei sword. The computer indicates the sword's catalog number is CRM-114. In A Clockwork Orange, the main character Alex is given Experimental Serum 114, a phonetic play on CRM-114.

Notes

  • Malcolm McDowell, who portrays Mr. Linderman, is possibly best known for his portrayal of Alex in A Clockwork Orange.
  • In Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove: Or how I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb, the main radio in the bomber is designated the CRM-114. How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb is one of the chapters of the original pilot.
  • Jason Badower said that he used Malcolm McDowell's image in A Clockwork Orange as a basis for drawing Austin in War Buddies, Parts 4 and 5.
