The Civilian
In chapter 3 of The Civilian, Rachel visits Lyneboro School, searching for clues about a set of keys she found in her inbox at the police station. She talks to some students, who tell her that the keys match the school lockers. Assistant Principal Collins, however, does a check on the database and finds nothing. Rachel heads to the lockers anyway, and finds a locker that corresponds to the keys. Inside the locker, there is a single sheet of paper, which Rachel reads.
