Does "headquarters" get capitalized? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:46, 5 December 2006 (EST)
- I think we were originally assuming it was a title (the Headquarters, not a headquarters), but since the real "FBI Headquarters" (which is capitalized thusly) is the J. Edgar Hoover building in Washington, it's up for debate. I wish we could just label it "FBI Field Office LA", which is what it really is, but they label it "Headquarters" on screen, which has nothing to do with your question but is merely currently annoying me.—Hardvice (talk) 02:50, 5 December 2006 (EST)
- In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter. Personally I think it should be lowercase, but I've already spent more time thinking about it than my brain wants to ... It's time to go to bed. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:54, 5 December 2006 (EST)
- To answer you actual question, now that I've given it some thought: I think it should be capitalized. It would be "the FBI's headquarters", but "FBI Headquarters" is a proper noun phrase, like "Union Wells High School" vs. "Claire's high school".—Hardvice (talk) 03:09, 5 December 2006 (EST)
