DNA Absorption is the ability to absorb DNA of others and use it to alter the user's own.

Characters

Renaud Van Beersel is the only character known to have this ability.

Limits

Renaud's ability allows him to alter his own DNA using the genes of other people. Skin contact is required for this. The ability holder's epidermis is covered in microscopic DNA-receptors, designed to tear the nuclei out of cells. The DNA is transported via the neurons to the brain where it is analyzed in a way that the subject can 'see' the effect of the genes on the human body. The brain then starts creating a virus which holds the same genetic code as the evolved human, but with changes to the desired genes. The virus circulates the person's body and infects all cells changing their code to that of the virus. This process can be used to recreate other abilities.

• To defend himself against a bag and tag, Renaud recreates Electric Manipulation off one of the agents.
• Renaud replaces the genes of various genetic disorders, both dominant and recessive; even when a recessive disorder doesn't manifest, it could in one's offspring.
• Renaud gets access to the Company's blood samples and recreates Acid Secretion, Appearance Alteration, Cloning, Electronic Communication, Enhanced Strength, Flight, Gravitational Manipulation, Induced Radioactivity, Invisibility, Lung Adaptation, Plant Manipulation, Power Absorption, Puppet Master, Pyrokinesis, Rapid Cell Regeneration and Telepathy.
