9thwonders.com is the "official/unofficial fan site for Heroes." On December 10, 2007, the site became used for Heroes Evolutions content. The site shares its name with the in-story comic book written by Isaac Mendez, 9th Wonders!
9thwonders.com takes its name from Isaac Mendez's in-world comic book, 9th Wonders. The site was started by the show's writers, who were inspired by The Fuselage, ABC's official site for the creative team behind Lost. The original intention of the site was to have a site where the creators of Heroes could communicate with fans and share behind-the-scenes tidbits. The site was launched in July 2006, before Heroes ever aired, and before Comic-Con kicked off. Craig Byrne (whom Jeph Loeb knew through Craig's Smallville fansite kryptonsite) conducted interviews, compiled content, and was the site's moderator. JG Roshell designed the site. In an interview with Roshell, he said that NBC and the writers granted free reign to do with the site as they wanted. Roshell said that he wanted to capture a "classic 60s/70s Marvel look". He also said that the pages were made to look aged "as if the comics have been around for years".
The site's purpose evolved and changed as the site quickly grew in popularity (almost immediately after Comic-Conm and certainly after the popularity of Season One of Heroes). Though the site still contained interviews and exclusive content, it was primarily used as a discussion forum for fans, both hardcore and casual. In 2007, the site was slightly redesigned to be able to incorporate advertisements, and the site became known as the "unofficial official fan forum". In December 2007, the Heroes creative team started using the site as a way to release Heroes Evolutions (then called "Heroes 360") content, with the first message containing content about Richard Drucker. The site continued to function as a forum for fans, as well as a place for Heroes Evolutions content to be released, throughout the duration of Heroes. A strong, passionate community grew, giving birth to many fan fictions and other creations, such as the popular and successful Sarmy.
After the cancellation of Heroes, the site continued to be live, with hardcore fans continuing to converse about Heroes and other topics. The site was disbanded by NBC in 2014, and around the summer of 2014 it was turned into a Japanese insurance site. On July 26, 2015, 9thwonders.com was started again, but as a completely different site. No longer a traditional forum, the new 9thwonders.com utilized Tumblr to post fan pictures, artwork, and behind-the-scenes photos. The site also promises to post "clues of what's to come" and opportunities for interaction with the creators and the cast.

William Congreve puzzle
Cogitoergosum was updated December 19, 2007, at 04:08 PM with a riddle. It reads:
The quote is from Act 1, Scene 1 of William Congreve's 1697 play, The Mourning Bride. The code appears to be the chord progression for "Blue in Green", a Miles Davis jazz song.
On March 10, 2008, an individual began sending emails and text messages to Hana Gitelman's contacts. The messages contained clues to the individual's identity, telling Hana's contacts to discern the sender's identity by decoding things found at activatingevolution.org. Eventually, on March 26, 2008, the individual messaged Hana's contacts, telling them that they had discovered the mystery sender's identity: a 9thwonders.com user with the screenname "evsdropr".

Voicemail #8: Thompson. This is Dekker in Berlin. Hey, my guy over at the power company just called. He says something's started. Something is sending low-grade electromagnetic pulses into his grid. Get this: the surges come about 80 a minute. The waves are shaped like heartbeats. I was going to send my field unit to check it out but it turns out one of your tag and bag teams is already in the area. Could this be your guy? We can't make contact with your team. The EMP is degrading everything for 9 city blocks. If you have got any alternative means for getting in touch with them, let me know, stat. I'm already picking up chatter on the police band about it.
