On their way to California, the Bennets stop at a motel in Arizona. There, Noah tells his family that he is going for a walk when Sandra tells him he has obligations he must fulfill--namely walking Mr. Muggles. In the parking lot, Noah grabs a baseball bat and heads to Kenny's Diner.
When he returns, he gets into bed and wishes goodnight to his wife. The next day, the Bennets get into their car and continue on to California.
