Bob Dylan is a popular and influential singer-songwriter.
Bob Dylan is one of the most influential musicians of recent times. He gained popularity during the the 1960s when he became a living symbol of social unrest. Many of Dylan's songs became anthems for the civil rights and anti-war movements of the time, and were embraced by the growing counterculture. Dylan's music was variably political, philosophical, literary, but it was always unique and unconventional.
According to Lyta Samson's The Village Voice article (which is quoted in Primatech case file #11), Chris Coolidge "carries the torch lit by Bob Dylan, both illuminating his beloved country's failings and shining a light on means to repair them."
Mindy Sprague mentions Bob Dylan as one of her favorite music artists.
