At her retirement home, Ida is playing dominoes and tells her opponent about how she could see "angels". The other woman calls Ida insane. Their conversation ends when Linda Tavara tells Ida she has a phone call. When Ida answers the phone, Linda admits that there was actually no phone call. Linda says that she is an angel and takes Ida's aura, killing her.
Ida had the ability to see the spirits of dead people. It is unknown if they were able communicate with her.
- According to the script for Moonlight Serenade, Ida is in her 70s.
- Ida May Walker's name may be a reference to the character Oda Mae Brown from the film Ghost, in which the character can talk to spirits.
