  • In the novel it was spelled Sakkashita. Was this a typo in the novel or the actual way it's meant to be spelled? (Admin 10:50, 18 October 2007 (EDT))
    • I'm not sure, did they actually show the name when introducing it in Sword Saint? Due to the embellishment of the novel, I think we should go with however it is spelled in the Sword Saint documentary.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:22, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
    • It's a typo in the graphic novel. The actual city is spelled "Sakashita". Actually, as I'm thinking about it, it's probably a transliteration issue--going from Japanese kanji symbols to English letters is not always an exact science. Black Bear of Sakkashita redirects here, though. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:25, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
      • Should we go with the spelling used in the GN, then, and a Note explaining the discrepancy?--Hardvice (talk) 15:14, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
        • The video trumps the GN if it is mentioned. I guess since no one else wants to, I'll go re-watch it.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:18, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
          • Ok, just watched it. The video doesn't use on-screen spelling, but the pronounciation used is sa-ka-shi-ta (as in one k). Maybe we should wait to see if it gets mentioned in the next episode? I'm hoping they do the snake women too... maybe female snake charmers? That could be fun... maybe add a couple of Indiana Jones quotes in there. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:50, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
  • Hmm, is it wrong to find this name quite funny? I mean Sack of Shita, even if it is named for a 1000-yr old town in Japan. -- Riffsyphon1024 16:24, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
    • No, it's a made-up name. I'm pretty sure they meant for it to be funny. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:19, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

Is it from Sakashita?

Can we assume that the bear is from, or lived in, the city of Sakashita? Chrisyu357 07:55, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
