Talk:Sylar's watch

Is this the same watch of which he got the name Sylar off of? ---- Ohmyn0.jpgOhmyn0talk.jpg 01:08, 28 November 2006 (EST)

  • Unsure, but it would seem eerily fitting. --ZyberGoat 01:11, 28 November 2006 (EST)
    • It's hard to tell in the pic if it says Sylar or not... No way to know. Ryangibsonstewart 01:14, 28 November 2006 (EST)

Road Kill

So the watch reads 8:30 in Road Kill. Hmm. Seems like a mistake to me. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:23, 13 February 2007 (EST)

  • Especially since it still looks broken. Unless he's repaired the workings and left the cracked glass, which I'm sure somebody will say Means Something in a college freshmen English paper sort of way.--Hardvice (talk) 14:26, 13 February 2007 (EST)
    • Actually, I didn't realize it until I read it in the history (go us!), but it was working in Homecoming, too. Now I definitely have my doctorate thesis ready. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:43, 13 February 2007 (EST)
      • I'm not sure it was, though. The hands still weren't moving. IIRC, the "it was working!" camp on the message boards were relying on the ticking sound, which as we now know has little to do with the watch itself.--Hardvice (talk) 14:50, 13 February 2007 (EST)
        • Oh, didn't realize that. (I'm not going back to rewatch the ep right now.) I'll make it more ambiguous in the article space. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:52, 13 February 2007 (EST)
          • Even the second hand is the same as the shot from Six Months Ago. My guess is that the artist just copied a picture of the watch, and it happened to be the shot from 6MA. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk)

Real Sylar Watches Yet?

I keep searching around expecting to be able to buy Sylar watches and never finding search results except links back to here. You'd imagine someone would be out there cashing in on the idea. Or has NBC trademarked the name Sylar? Even then, one would think someone had come up with even low-quality knockoffs by now.. --Glue 03:02, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Yes, it's been done. I completed this project for the watch just this past month. You can see the finalized result at http://www.sylarwatch.com. I'm not sure if it would be cool to post this on the main Sylar's watch page, so I'm just posting here in the discussion. --Sylarwatch 18:04, October 23, 2008
    • I think it's ok. We had a link to an auction of a few replicas before, this is pretty much the same idea. (Admin 18:27, 23 October 2008 (EDT))
      • That's pretty cool. Hella expensive though

Never had it

Sylar based his name off that watch. What if Sylar never had the watch? What if he had a Rolex or something like that? Boy thing would be different.--Catalyst · Talk · HL 18:06, 6 May 2009 (EDT)

He would have thought of something. Rolex is too popular and well known, and everyone would brow-raise if they heard someone refer to themselves as "Rolex".--VanguardLogo.pnganguard 10:55, 3 November 2009 (EST)

Where is the watch now?

"Nathan" certainly didn't have it. Sylar has regained his body, and the watch is still nowhere to be seen. What happened to it? Should we write it's no longer in Sylar's possession? Green.gif AltesUTC CH

  • I think it would either be in Taub's apartment, or (if sylar was wearing it in An Invisible Thread) it may have been transferred to James Martin's body. --mc_hammark 12:53, 3 November 2009 (EST)
