  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style.
  • If you're ready to get started, Template:Todo lists some ways you can help out.
  • Of course, if you have your own idea for a new article, that's great, too.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the Summary field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add ~~~~ or click the signature button.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for an administrator.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.

Once again, welcome to Heroes Wiki!

Love your username. It'll look interesting on talk pages. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 11:43, 16 December 2007 (EST)

  • Indeed, you might want to pick a nickname. Maybe Parendot? Also, if for some reason you chose this username by mistake you can have it changed if you ask Admin.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:47, 16 December 2007 (EST)

I dont know how any of this works :(--(. .') (talk) 12:08, 16 December 2007 (EST)

  • If you want to come up with a nickname, go to the upper right hand corner where it says "my preferences" and cloick on it. Go to the "nickname" space and type [[User:(. .')|Parendot]] or [[User:(. .')|(. .')]] --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 13:04, 16 December 2007 (EST)
    • Also, you'll want to add your signature/timestamp when you leave a comment on a talk page such as this one. That lets others know the comment was yours and when you left it. To do so, at the end of a comment type --~~~~ or click the signature button to do the typing for you, and then click 'save page'. I just added the signature/timestamp for your comment that you didn't know how any of this works.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:15, 16 December 2007 (EST)

After some exploration i have discovered you can make your own heroes page like for real characters but a custom one, how do i do this?--(. .') (talk) 13:56, 6 January 2008 (EST)

  • I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean like a subpage? If so, just type "User:(. .')/nameOfSubpage" and click create. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 14:13, 6 January 2008 (EST)
    • To be more specific, you can make an article in your Userspace by entering "User:(. .')/<article name>" into the search box and clicking "Go". Then, click on the redlink to edit the page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:16, 6 January 2008 (EST)

O_O I did one.. WHERE HAS IT GONE, :( I cant find the template thing now >_<!!!--(. .') 12:28, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • O There it is... xD--(. .') 12:38, 18 January 2008 (EST)
    • Here is something I do so that I dont loose my subpages: I have my userpage open AND the subpage I want to create open. Before I start editing my new subpage, I put a link to my subpage in my userpage. I do this by copying and pasting the title of the subpage into my userpage and surrounding it with two square brackets (these: [[]]). That way, I can always find my subpages by going to my userpage.
    • To find your userpage from anywhere in the Wiki, simply look for the line at the very top of the page that reads:
    • (. .') My talk My preferences My watchlist My contributions Log out
    • and click on your username. :)--SacValleyDweller (talk) 12:54, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Custom ability

Oh yes and also, Is it possible to make a page for a custom power? --(. .') 14:15, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • Yes. Start another subpage and click the gray button that says "Fan power" --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 14:58, 18 January 2008 (EST)
    • And um.. How do i make a subpage? --(. .') 15:08, 18 January 2008 (EST)
      • To make a subpage, enter User:(. .')/<name of subpage> into the text box, click the 'Go' button, then click on the redlink for editing the page which appears.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:47, 18 January 2008 (EST)
        • Ty--(. .') 15:51, 18 January 2008 (EST)
      • Also, if you ever lose track of your subpages, you can either do a dpl call to list them like I've done on my user page, or you can use a version of 'Special:Prefixindex' by following this link (note that the url encoding of the space character is the + sign). Currently, you have made a subpage called "User:(. .')/nameOfSubpage"...I'm not sure that you meant to name it that, but you should know that you can replace the text <name of subpage> with whatever name you want.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:01, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Also I want a pic next to my custom power but i uploaded it on photobucket and when i put the link of the pic next to | Image = and it just says the url as a link which doesnt work...--(. .') 16:05, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • If you are going to use Image =, you need to upload the file to Heroes Wiki, not photobucket. Just use the 'upload file' link in the navbar on the left side of the screen.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:09, 18 January 2008 (EST)
  • I get it now... --(. .') 16:14, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Out of sheer curiosity...

...How'd you come up with your unique username? :)--SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:26, 19 February 2008 (EST)

I was watching pokemon (well my brother was) and I noticed how they had the waterdrop on the side of there head. I thought it looked cool so i made that face with computer units. I then found this and thought it would be cool as a username. The end :D --(. .') 06:32, 22 February 2008 (EST)

Editing Software?

  • I was watching some of Riddler's and Yeori's (DarthYotho) power video's and they totally own mine, i only have moviemaker to edit my vid's with, so i was wondering what editing stuff you guys use? --(. .') 05:29, 1 March 2008 (EST)

Ive uploaded a picture but i dont no how to resize it to fit the picture box, HELP?

NOTE: I had to crop my image which missed out some good bits...--(. .') 07:50, 3 March 2008 (EST)

Note that to fix the images you need to resize them first such that one side length matches exactly one of the standard sizes, then you can crop the other side of the image to match as well.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:15, 3 March 2008 (EST)

I hope you weren't sleeping in the bathroom for the reason that comes to mind ;) --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 13:12, 3 March 2008 (EST)

  • I was 2, I fell asleep on one of those jumbo toilet packs Lol. I have pics of it I was well cute --(. .') 13:15, 3 March 2008 (EST)

Links to software

You do know this is illegal. So doing this on your own risk. But you must know you are deffinetly not the only one doing this..

Program for torrents -->

You can find the torrentfiles on:

I won't send you direct links cuz they change and you need to do some things yourself ;). Search for:

- Adobe After Effects 7 or CS3 - Sony Vegas 7.0

Remember always make sure a keygen or crack file is included. And check if it works by reading the comments on the torrents. If they have 0 comments you should move on with the search. Also you must know some are in a .ISO format which means you need to burn it onto a disk. If you don't like that always try to search for .rar files. Which you can "unzip".

That's all you need to know ! Let me know how it went. DarthYotho 14:17, 3 March 2008 (EST)

  • Its illegal? And you downloaded it :O --(. .') 14:18, 3 March 2008 (EST)
    • Yes it's illigal, and NO I didn't download these programs myself. I know the process and how it works because I download new Heroes episodes because I don't live in the US or Canada and so I can't watch the new episodes live from NBC. DarthYotho 17:30, 5 March 2008 (EST)

You might want to specify which kind of football it is that you like if it is not what we Americans (most users here, I think) call football. ;) (probably is the other kind, Im guessing)--SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:14, 3 March 2008 (EST)

  • Yh the one when you kick it. Should I call it soccer? --(. .') 03:36, 4 March 2008 (EST)
I should think something along the lines of (European) football would suffice. It's official name is Association football, but I had to look on Wikipedia to find that out and nobody would know what it is. Out of curiosity, how old are you? I'm 14 (scroll down) and one of the only people is this damn country to be an Anglophile (or even know what one is for that matter . . . ) Therequiembellishere 18:59, 4 March 2008 (EST)
  • what is it? im 11, 12 in a month or two :l --(. .') 05:13, 5 March 2008 (EST)
    • Aren't you a little too young to be trying effects and to understand stuff like this ?? Isn't there a agerule on heroeswiki ?
You have Football --> American Football and Football --> Soccer. I know all about it cuz in Europe we hardly have American Football and a lot of Soccer als you guy's call. But people get confused cuz here it's called Fußball, Voetbal stuff like that And people translate it to Football. d you should know the difference tom cuz your from England. DarthYotho 17:35, 5 March 2008 (EST)
      • I thought it was spelled "Futbol"?--Riddler 18:14, 5 March 2008 (EST)
DarthYotho, whom are you talking to? And an Anglophile is an American or somebody who was raised to American schools and prefers to use Commonwealth rules for spelling/grammar/vocabulary/punctuation (and SI measurements) and prefers Commonwealth culture. And Riddler, that's called Spanish. It's spelled "Fútbol" (I learned it as balompié when I grew up, but whatever). Therequiembellishere 18:23, 5 March 2008 (EST)

Best day of my life!

Guess what guys? I got adobe after effects and premiere! ;) Im so happy <3 --(. .') 14:16, 14 March 2008 (EDT)

  • Very cool. Have fun with it! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:21, 14 March 2008 (EDT)
    • Thank you :) And no I didnt download it (the illegal option is downloading) --(. .') 14:44, 14 March 2008 (EDT)

Guess whos back, me duhh :O

'Tis true, i have returned from my holiday, now neal before your gracious leader and sing my prases NOWNESS O_o

  • On a serious note, what have i missed? --(. .') 08:57, 24 March 2008 (EDT)

Just got home, i had an operation to remove my left gland, just thought you'd like to know... --(. .') 11:18, 27 March 2008 (EDT)

What left gland? Therequiembellishere 16:20, 28 March 2008 (EDT)

In my neck, you know when you get tonselites and those lumps stick out of your neck, one of those --(. .') 08:59, 1 April 2008 (EDT)

Hey guys!

As the new season of heroes kicks off, i have decided to rejoin my once favourite website! I have improved quite a lot at editing, and i will add some videos to the Heroes Wiki Heroes page if I'm aloud? --(. .') 08:31, 27 September 2008 (EDT)

Teh Phire!

Unfortunately, I don't make the fire myself. Instead, I use stock footage. Basically you take a clip of fire that's on a green (or in my case entirely black) screen and chroma key the background away, color correcting anything that might be lost in the flame. has some good stuff. I'm actually making some of my own stock footage with my friends. I'm in a stunt group and one of the guys is good at fire blowing, so I'm turning that into stock which I'll use in one of my videos =]--Riddler 04:26, 25 October 2008 (EDT)

  • It's basically just removing color. There're tutorials online everywhere. I actually did that fire video in Sony Vegas before I had After Effects but I know you can do it in AE as well.--Riddler 13:09, 25 October 2008 (EDT)
  • No problem at all. Enjoy, and I hope to see some quality videos. =]--Riddler 14:20, 25 October 2008 (EDT)
  • Find a converter? :X--Riddler 14:27, 25 October 2008 (EDT)

Im confused!?!?!oneone!??eleven

Can someone tell me what season of heroes we are currently on? I swear we are on the fourth but the mainpage says the third, gahh my brainn!!

  • Third season, fourth volume.--Riddler 14:47, 21 April 2009 (EDT)
