Hope you're feeling better...I hear Dr. Pepper will do the trick every time. I'm enjoying your occifer picture. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:14, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Thanks. It was one of those 24hr bugs I guess. That picture's from training for detaining people using standards set by the AF...of course, in Iraq/Afghanistan, they use Army standards even if they're in the Air Force. --Bob 22:28, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

OK, so for the timeline, there was a good suggestion by RyanGibsonStewart to mock up something similar to Lostpedia. When looking at it, it's setup to have articles for specific months (which I like). The decision would be where to start and have a "pre-whatever" page that has all preceding events. So here are the thoughts I've had to mark the start of individual articles for months:

  • Eclipse - this would make sense, but some stuff in Genesis is before the eclipse (the beginning scenes with Mo)
  • Genesis - start of the series, would make sense, only aired material (for the time being) preceding it is Six Months Ago and Mo's dreams

I'm leaning towards the eclipse. Just wanted to field some ideas before I started. I like the way Lostpedia has it setup and it would be easier to maintain so I'll get started on that.--Bob 13:48, 14 April 2007 (EDT)

  • October 1st seems like a place to start. All jumps should be taken care of with span id tags, which are mostly there, but certainly not in every format. Ugh. A few other notes: the names of episodes and GNs should not be in the headings, but should probably be parenthetical citations. (In general, one citation for the first event of a group would be enough, though.) I wouldn't call anything "Day 1" like Lostpedia does--it just doesn't fit with our content. Good luck! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:07, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
  • Hi, Bob. I was planning to effect a lot of changes to the timeline today (including cutting it into a pre-2006 and 2006 (though pre-eclipse and post-eclipse are viable too)) and what do I find when I get here after taking my lunch-hour? The Timeline article's gone! I'm rearing to put in a lot of content corrections and updates to the article. So where do I edit? In it OK to continue editing the archived old Timeline or should I do them directly to the new Timeline:xxx articles? I guess my question is the old single Timeline article coming back. Anyway, my suggestion is to make 2006 the demarcation since Six Months Ago and many other prelude stories (e.g., Stealing Time, Snapshots and Wireless) I think are a core part of the Season One (eclipse to explosion) action. --Mercury McKinnon 02:47, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Well, with regards to splitting pre-eclipse into smaller pieces, I think it really depends on a few things. First, obviously, is Hiro's ability to go back in time. Should he go back, this may provide for more material to post, but it depends on where in time he goes. Second is the amount of content that would occur in the next few seasons. I think this current setup is pretty flexible for what the show should do. But I think that the eclipse is a sufficient time marker for a larger prefacing history versus splitting the pre-eclipse timeline into smaller sections. It's just easier for a casual fan to understand. I think if you want to discuss any possible changes should be here. As for any new revisions, go ahead and do it to the new articles. The old one is archived, so you should do corrections to the current article. I went ahead and archived it just in case.--Bob 02:55, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

Thanks etc.

Thanks for watching my back, Bob. By the way, are we ready to go ahead and switch the timelines? Let me know what you'd like me to do. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:38, 22 April 2007 (EDT)

  • Ah, no prob. For the timeline, could you maybe comment out the code that automatically links the date of an event to the timeline, and I'll go ahead and start moving articles. After that, either you or I could manually link to the respective section on the timeline article. Then I guess we'll have to comment out the timeline event template that appears at the bottom of the event pages.--Bob 00:18, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
    • Sorry I wasn't able to help you out last night, I kinda fell asleep. (Yes, "kinda".) Looks like you did just fine. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:53, 23 April 2007 (EDT)

Thoughts on the "future"

So Peter envisioned Nathan turning into Sylar, who tells Peter he knows nothing about power. Sylar paints a very twisted version of Nathan in the Oval Office (I originally thought it was Sylar painting himself). Methinks that this show is good.--Bob 20:21, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Hey, Bob. You interested in being an administrator here? (Admin 14:09, 3 May 2007 (EDT))
    • Sure, I can do that. Once finals are done on the 11th, I'll have the summer pretty much available. Thanks.--Bob 14:15, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
      • You're so lucky you're done on the 11th. We're going until the 16th of June, I think. Can't wait for this summer -- this has been a hard year. (Welcome aboard, by the way!) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:19, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Welcome aboard!--Hardvice (talk) 15:21, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Gratz mate :) Hope you do not plan to takeover the world now you have THE POWER! :) -- FrenchFlo (talk)        15:49, 3 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Ok, I've granted you administrator privileges now. Congrats! (Admin 19:39, 3 May 2007 (EDT))
        • I must say, from a purely selfish standpoint, it's really nice having less RCs to patrol. Can't wait to see if things run smoother for me on Tuesday. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:54, 6 May 2007 (EDT)
          • Haha no problem. How can you tell who does patrolling?--Bob 00:18, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
            • Educated guess: Only admins can patrol, and you and I seem to be the only admins on the site right now, so.... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:06, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
              • Nice work Dr. Holmes.--Bob 01:07, 7 May 2007 (EDT)
            • I patrol from time to time when I'm not working on backend stuff, I know Hardvice and Ryan patrol as well. Pretty much every admin probably patrols at times. (Admin 01:29, 7 May 2007 (EDT))
  • So, when do the next admins get picked? (*hint*) Heroe!(talk) (contribs) Random Page! 21:42, 10 May 2007 (EDT)

Images for Characters

  • Great idea, Bob. It's on my summer to do list. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk)
    • Sorry about putting that comment on your user page. And I'm not quite sure how I erased all that other stuff. I must have still been sleepwalking this morning. Oops! — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:13, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Haha that's ok. I knew you must have been really tired for that kind of an edit. It was a nice chortle to break the monotony of my last calculus lecture.--Bob 15:15, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Hey, I noticed you don't write summary when you undo someone's edit. Could you add one next times so that we can understand the reason! :) Thanks. -- FrenchFlo (talk)        15:08, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
    • I'm revert-button happy I guess. I'll start using undo for ones that need explanation. Thanks for the concern.--Bob 15:09, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Heh. It's tempting to use rollback, I know. Since there's no description I try to reserve that for reverting vandalism or when there are a large number of consecutive edits by the same person that need to be reverted. I use undo for everything else so I can leave a summary. (Admin 15:28, 4 May 2007 (EDT))

I'm starting to not like working on Monday nights, but there's only three more weeks of torture

So I'll be at work from 6-midnight, so hopefully I'll be able to catch most of the show on break (the last two weeks, shipments came in late, so I had to take my break at 8:30, missing half the episode). So, when I get back home around 12:30-1am, I'll start working and since I slept in today, I'll stay up all night cleaning up most of it. I'll fill in content once the iTunes download comes in around 8am or so.--Bob 18:25, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

    1. This has to be the longest section title. Ever.
    2. I'll be out of commission on May 22 and 23. Perfect time, right after the finale, right? Ah well...
    3. Good luck with all your studying. Ugh. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:28, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

Sorry about the Phasing and Precognition edits. I misunderstood the source and didn't notice they were already appropriately mentioned on the pages.--Tim Thomason 18:52, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

All done with your finals? How'd they go? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:08, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Still waiting on two grades (one I didn't do so well in, but enough to pass). Did a lot better in Network Fundamentals than I thought. But very glad school is done for the year. --Bob 16:16, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

Time in New Orleans

When/where'd you live in New Orleans?--Bob 16:37, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I was there in 2003-2004, February through September in Terrytown, October through April in the Carrollton area, and May through July in Metairie. I have a few friends from all over New Orleans, but I haven’t been able to get in contact with some of them since Katrina. I miss it down there and want to go back to visit some time, but haven’t been able to yet. -Lөvөl 02:13, 14 May 2007 (EDT)

Images for Main Characters

So for those interested, I'd like to knock out the Category:Images of (Main Characters) by Monday morning. I have some stuff this weekend, so I may need some help. I'll try to hit up Hiro Sunday, so if anyone's interested in helping, try to take care of the other characters. Some things that made it quick and easy (I use Firefox):

  • Clear cache and cookies...this will allow you to view any already-tagged images
  • go to "Search", select only Images, and type the first name of the character
  • click not-visited images, edit and paste the category link
    • There's some duplicates due to redirects and such, so that's why you might want to clear cache, history and cookies

Like I said, I'll take care of Hiro. Peter had a lot of images, and I'm sure Sylar and Hiro have a lot, so I'll take Hiro on Sunday if anyone else wants the other characters. Thanks. --Bob 06:01, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

  • Great job on Peter, good luck with the rest. :) I'll add it to the current events. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:39, 19 May 2007 (EDT)
    • Thanks. I got all Episode Images from Parasite, and I've been moving backwards. Heroe got an episode or two from the beginning of the season. I'm going to get groceries/eat in a sec, but when I get back I'll resume. After the episodes, I need to remember to hit up Graphic Novels and promos.--Bob 11:56, 20 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Woah! You finished them all? Heroe!(talk) (contribs) 23:15, 20 May 2007 (EDT)
    • My job requires repetitive key strokes for over thousands of requisite sheets, and that's on dumb terminals. So having the luxury of shortkeys (pasting, switching tabs, etc) makes it a lot easier. Almost done with promos. I'm not going to do the graphic novels, I need sleep.--Bob 23:17, 20 May 2007 (EDT)
      • You're doing a fantastic job. I have to admit, the pessimist in me didn't think it was going to get done. Nice work. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:26, 20 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Thanks, I appreciate it. I wish we could have done this earlier. Would have made it really easy for Jason to do some research on the last two GN's. (I can see a few images where he got the likeness from)--Bob 23:30, 20 May 2007 (EDT)

Sylars Aquired Powers

"(cur) (last) 10:55, 15 May 2007 Baldbobbo (Talk | contribs) (Undo revision 66977 by Special:Contributions/Drudatz (User talk:Drudatz) not demonstrated, even if it were, the first occurrance is enough evidence)"

How about watching Heroes before Typing that ???? In 5 years gone Sylar disguess as Nathan and flys....

  • I'm not quite sure what you're referring to, but I'm sure it wasn't regarding flight. Understood with regards to that, but again, the first instance of it occurring is enough. Next time use some tact when addressing something, it's a courtesy. Don't get an attitude when someone undoes an edit you had several weeks ago.--Bob 03:38, 30 May 2007 (EDT)

Loser probably a more apt name for me anyway, dontcha think? RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:32, 2 June 2007 (EDT)

Badower blurbs

Thanks for finishing up those Badower art pages, Bob. I got behind on them during the last week of the season, and then they just loomed and I never got them finished. Thanks for filling in all the missing comments, they look great. Incidentally, did you see Jason's pics of me he posted during his Visit to America journal? His friend Simbo was soaked, and is wearing a Heroes Wiki tshirt. We had a great lunch in the City. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:02, 12 August 2007 (EDT)

  • Woo! Nice action shot of the Heroes Wiki t-shirt. Glad it came in handy. :) I have a ton of them from my aborted trip to Comic-Con so I'll be sending a few out soon to people who've already requested them. (Admin 17:06, 12 August 2007 (EDT))

Nice uniform!

Thank you very much, Bob :)

Bob, do you ever watch DVDs on your computer? I'm having trouble playing my DVD in a player from which I can also grab screenshots. Any advice? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:06, 2 September 2007 (EDT)

  • Try this player. I've been using it for a while, and it has screen capping built in. Let me know how that works for you. I take it you're going to work on the unaired actors/characters for the holiday?--Bob 12:35, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
    • Thanks, Bob. I'll check that out shortly. Yeah, I've at least got pics of the cast, now I want to get caps from the actual episode. I don't know if I'll write any of the articles just yet, but portraits will be as starting point. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:37, 2 September 2007 (EDT)

Maya Images

In answer to your question (from like an hour ago, sorry!), yes, I was just getting something up for Maya. Most of those spoiler images (especially the screenshot ones from YouTube videos etc.) should be deleted or reuploaded with the "real" image from tonight. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:41, 24 September 2007 (EDT)

  • Figured as much. Those promo shots and such we can despoil and cat.--Bob 18:08, 24 September 2007 (EDT)

They may have said that she killed herself, but that doesn't stop from someone resurrecting her. We still have yet to learn the powers of other people in the Company, and one of them could've done it, considering that her power could be very beneficial to them. And, even if she is dead, there are still some theories that could be made of her.

Lizards Images

In re: the Lizards checklist - I checked off Phasing because someone had already added an entry for this episode under examples of the power - but I didn't check for an image. I checked off Telepathy because I didn't think an image would be available for what ended up being mainly an audio cue. Just got carried away, I guess - sorry! ZZ 00:37, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
